- TestimonialsDr. Boxer’s well rounded knowledge and talents in nutrition, Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture make her a perfectly suited health care professional for my needs. First off, I was very skeptical about the whole acupuncture thing. She has such a delicate and precise technique. You rarely feel ANYTHING!! Except of course energized after the session.
More often than not, besides treating and alleviating the aches and pains, I leave with a HIGH — feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
I’ve also availed myself of her knowledge of nutrition and Chinese herbs. I now eat very well balanced (she turned me on to excellent books and ideas that are not fads. Just great and fantastic). Several of her cold remedies and vitamins are excellent and most effective. Good energy ,knowledge, effectiveness, pleasant, accessible and flexible to the client’s needs— -that about sums up Dr. Mindy Boxer.

I tried a few different acupuncturist in Santa Monica and found that while the treatments worked for my upper back pain, the experience was much like going to the dentist. Then I started going to Dr. Boxer and had a whole different experience.
The treatment rooms are very relaxing and spa like, not at all clinical like the others. Dr. Boxer also adds lots of nice touches, like tea while you’re waiting and music of your choice while in treatment.
She did a very thorough assessment of my health, including diet, sleep, stress, medications and personal questions to see how they could be contributing to the pain and how she could customize my treatments. This was way beyond the standard form every doctor gives you to fill out and then promptly ignores.
Dr. Boxer herself is very personable and has an obvious and very genuine interest in the well being... I truly credit my work with Dr. Mindy as part of the reason for my successful battle over breast cancer. Her treatment included acupuncture, nutritional advice, and herbal formulas. I felt confident in her experience and knowledge of holistic medicine. I appreciate that Dr. Mindy looks at the whole person when making treatment decisions. Dr. Mindy is a very passionate person and she has created a very peaceful space. I continue to see Dr. Mindy as part of my overall healthy lifestyle. Acupuncture is so relaxing…it’s better than a massage.”

I really love Mindy and as a doula I send her a lot of my pregnant clients and they are always very satisfied. I have sent her moms who had never had acupuncture before but needed a little help getting things started to avoid a medical induction and it almost never failed. With Mindy’s love and ability to get the moms calm and welcoming many of my clients following their visits with her, experienced a gentle birth.

I started seeing Dr. Mindy Boxer for acupuncture treatments in February. I was almost 39 and wanted to start a family. I had anticipated it taking a while to get pregnant and having to undergo potentially stressful and costly fertility treatments. But my husband and I found out in March that we were able to get pregnant on our own and would have our first child in November! I have to think that the acupuncture, which reduces stress and is reported to improve fertility, as well as the supplements Dr. Boxer provided and the guidance she offered for adopting a more healthful diet all contributed to our ability to get pregnant quickly. Dr. Boxer is knowledgeable, nurturing, has a positive energy, and is fun to work with. I look forward to my sessions with her each week, and so far I’ve had a relatively smooth pregnancy. I highly recommend Dr.... Read more »
“I have been seeing Dr. Boxer for 10 months now and the experience has been great. She is very caring and knowledgeable. I always enjoy our weekly session as it is relaxing and soothing. After working with Dr. Boxer for 5 months utilizing Acupuncture & Herbs, my husband and I successfully conceived twins from our first IVF attempt! I strongly believe Dr. Boxer’s treatments played an important role in our success, and I am continuing Acupuncture throughout my pregnancy. I am always appreciative of her help and support. I highly recommend Dr. Boxer without any reservations!”

Whether you are a professional, college, or high school athlete (or maybe just a weekend warrior), you know that injuries can happen when you least expect it. Sometimes, it’s a traumatic injury because your body was pushed beyond its limit and sometimes, the injury comes from simple overuse. And every athlete wants to get back on the field, court,
Perhaps the greatest benefit of Acupuncture is that this form of Medicine has been practiced for thousands of years and has been specifically used to increase circulation for centuries. At the bedrock of this medicine are the techniques used to stimulate Sympathetic responses resulting in Blood Vessel dilation and increased Blood Flow. Maybe a simpler way of explaining it
Healthy blood circulation is a vital component of life for human beings. Without proper blood flow, life would cease to exist. Blood isn’t the only thing that’s important, it’s what the blood is carrying that makes circulation so important. Blood carries fresh oxygen, hormones and nutrients that we absorb from our food. Without these components, the organs and tissues
Everyone feels cold sometimes, but some people are perpetually chilled to a point where it interferes with their lives.
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, there are two different kinds of cold in the body: full cold and empty cold. Full cold refers to a condition where there is an excess of cold-type energy in the body
